This classic dining chair was created by Kashiwa Mokko, a long-established furniture manufacturer in Hida Takayama. The natural wood has been polished to a beautiful deep reddish-brown finish, and the aged wood's texture gives it a warm presence. The backrest features four vertical spindles and a gently curved top rail in a traditional design. The support posts on both sides are made with delicate lathwork, and the careful handiwork of the artisans can be seen everywhere. The rounded wooden seat is finished in a shape that gently conforms to the body. The legs are also beautifully decorated with lathwork, giving the chair a stable appearance.
