Dates: January 30-31, 2027 Location: Hampton Inn San Diego Downtown, San Diego, CA Class size: Limited to 12 students Itinerary: Saturday, Jan 30: 9:30 am: Arrival coffee, tea and treats! (Coffee and tea served all day) 10:00 am- 12:30pm: Opening session: Lecture on Tom’s work and caricature theory, drawing and exaggerating features, practical application; Demonstration of Tom’s MAD magazine illustration process 12:30 pm- 1:30 pm: Lunch Break (On own, not included) 1:30 pm- 3:00 pm: Afternoon session– Hands on drawing of multiple subjects, feature lessons, individual and class critiques 3:00 pm- 3:30 pm: Afternoon break 3:30 pm -6:00 pm: Evening session: Continued lessons on features, multiple subject examination and drawing, one-on-one instruction and critique Sunday, Jan 31: 9:30 am: Arrival coffee, tea and treats! Assorted other goodies Your live caricature drawn by Tom This $100 downpayment is only to secure your spot in our San Diego workshop. The full tuition is $550. The balance of $450 will be invoiced on Nov 1 and will be due Dec 1. Refund policy: Your deposit is fully refundable through October 31. After that date the deposit becomes non-refundable, and you will be billed for the tuition balance. Balance payments are non-refundable. However if you need to cancel after Oct 31 we will make every effort to find someone to take your place. If that happens all payments will be refunded in full.
