Based in the town of Igamba (~70km from the Malawi border), their central processing unit serves farmers who typically work very small plots (1–5 hectares). Farmers supplement coffee with livestock and crops like maize, peanuts, and beans which also benefit the coffee through natural mulch and manure fertilisation. Trees are pruned twice yearly, with older unproductive trees stumped to encourage new growth. Main varieties grown are Compact, Kent, and other local cultivars.
