Fern Wool & Silk Scarf

The design of this scarf is inspired by an original painting of the endemic New Zealand Silver Fern (Cyathea dealbata). Also known as ponga, this iconic tree fern is one of New Zealand's most recognisable national symbols, cherished by New Zealanders and admired around the world. The design combines the rich green upper surface of the frond with its distinctive silvery underside, creating a striking interpretation of this much-loved native plant. A deep teal centre adds depth and contrast, beautifully highlighting the shimmering silver foliage. Silver ferns can reach heights of up to 10 metres and are found throughout New Zealand. Crafted from a luxurious blend of 70% wool and 30% silk, this scarf drapes beautifully while providing lightweight warmth and exceptional softness. Finished with expertly hand-rolled hems and colourfast printing, it faithfully captures the exquisite detail of Sue Wickison's original artwork, bringing the beauty of New Zealand's native flora to a timeless wearable piece.
