Courtney Wotherspoon holds a BFA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Based in Toronto, she works as a multi-disciplinary artist and illustrator with clients including Amazon, The New York Times, LCBO, University of Toronto and The Drake Hotel. Over a 20-year career, Courtney’s hand-lettering and illustrations have graced magazine pages, billboards, product packaging, movie sets and invitations. With a background in graphic design and typography, her playful and layered drawings and paintings are born from a fondness for decorative detail, texture and a more-is-more approach. Her work crosses the lines of illustration into interiors, textiles, spatial and lifestyle design and curating, with a focus on spotlighting art in the everyday. Courtney lives in Toronto with her husband, two kids and Great Dane, Uma Thurman.
