Soteria Ring

Soteria takes her name from the Greek goddess of safety and deliverance, the protector of those she watched over. Her name was invoked in times of crossing, of beginning, and of guarding what mattered most. The evil eye has been worn across the Mediterranean and the Levant for thousands of years, known as the mati in Greece and the nazar across the Levantine coast. In both traditions it carries the same belief, that beauty, peace, and joy are precious enough to protect, and that the eye, worn with intention, wards off the negativity that seeks to dim them. At the center of the Soteria sits a natural aquamarine, clear and watchful, chosen for its ancient connection to calm, clarity, and truth. Surrounding it, a vine wraps the stone the way an iris frames an eye, drawing on one of the oldest symbols across both cultures. The grapevine has grown along Mediterranean coastlines and through Levantine valleys for centuries, representing life, abundance, and the deep rootedness of a people connected to their land. Radiating outward, multicolored sapphires form the lashes, each stone a different tone of light, because protection here is not somber or heavy. It is radiant, joyful, and alive. The entire piece is handcrafted in solid 18K yellow gold using our organic technique, inspired by the ancient rock formations of the Mediterranean coastline, where stone has been shaped by water and time into something fluid and enduring.
