Not My Will But Yours

From Emu's EP 'Just As He Said'! Verse 1: Come see our Lord, when he knelt to pray And there he wept, with a cry of pain The anguish of, of the day ahead The heavy weight he was bound to bear The night was dark, yet his face is bowed The silence breaks as he prays aloud With sorrow filled, as his heart is torn He whispers, "not my will, but yours be done" Verse 2: Come, see our Lord as we walked the road A crown of thorns and a crimson robe The curse of sin weighed upon his heart The bitter cup that he drank for us The word of life to the darkness came Scorned by the world that his hands had made Deserted by the almighty God He cries out, 'not my will but yours be done." Verse 3: Come, see our Lord at the empty tomb His hands held out with a hope renewed The risen Son overcomes the grave That we would walk in our Father's ways So now we bow to the King of Kings We trust his call and his perfect will Through all our days, he will hold us near As we pray, 'not my will, but yours be done.'
