Nickel Plated Brass Port Sidel

An elegant example of traditional American marine navigation lighting featuring a richly colored ruby-red 112.5 degree Fresnel lens housed in a beautifully preserved nickel plated brass lantern. This is unmarked but its style replicates National Marine Lamp Corp. of New York from the early 20th century. The lantern features a distinctively shaped carry handle and an original screw-in bottom closure. A side opening suggests a provision for electrical wiring which is partially preserved inside the lantern. Exceptionally well-preserved. 8” H x 4.5"
