The Freedom Speed Chip (part #73272-G01P) is a plug-in personality plug for stock E-Z-GO 36-volt TXT controllers with the Precision Drive System (PDS), model years 2000 and up. It installs in the controller’s chip port and changes the cart’s drive settings for higher top speed—commonly listed up to about 18 mph, depending on terrain, tires, and the condition of the cart—without replacing the motor or controller. It is for 36-volt electric PDS carts only and works with the dash-mounted toggle (rocker) forward/reverse switch. It does not fit series, DCS, or 48-volt systems.
