Wake Up Call
Halloween season is upon us! That means the fan-favorite Wake Up Call is ghosting its way back onto our shelves. This year, we've decided on another really pleasant single origin lot. Unlike the past few years, though, this bag is 10 ounces instead of the previous 8. Produced by Elkin Guzman at his farm of El Mirador, we have a single-variety washed lot of Tabi. Guzman is known throughout coffee for both his experimentation and refinement of processes, which comes through in this lot. Tabi, a dwarf mutation of Bourbon, also brings consistently pleasant red fruits and sweetness that are showcased very clearly. In the cup, this coffee is lovely. Pronounced citrus, pleasant sweetness and just enough fruits all come together to make something you won't want to stop sipping. It's not funky or too surprising, but instead a calm and comfy cup for the spooky days ahead. Currently: Huila, Colombia Flavor Profile: Blood Orange, Cherry, Vanilla
