Honey Orchid Dancong (Mi Lan Xiang)
Dancong means single bush — each aroma line its own plant family, roasted and finished by hand. This Honey Orchid — Mi Lan Xiang 蜜兰香 — comes from the mid-high slopes of Wudong on Phoenix Mountain in Chaozhou, around 650 metres, finished by Tea Master Mr Wen. We picked it as a daily dancong: it does everything you look for in a Honey Orchid, and then a little more. In the cup we find mineral grape with a vegetal undertone — perfume that stays grounded rather than soft. A Chaozhou everyday that still feels a bit special — the kind of Mi Lan Xiang we actually brew through the week.
