Early 20th Century Kilim Upholstered Armchair
An early 20th-century armchair, probably dating to around 1930, with a high, gently inclined back, scrolling upholstered arms and short shaped front legs on castors. The seat, back and inner arms are upholstered in geometric kilim flatweave in muted pink, pale blue-grey, charcoal and olive tones. A separate lining fabric supports the kilim beneath, while plain textured fabric covers the outer sides and back. The chair has a sturdy frame and a sprung seat but with a firm front edge. The upholstery is in good condition, and the chair is offered as pictured. The front castors are original to the chair; the rear castors are replacements.
