NSBTA Jingle Bell Jog Get your Christmas sweater and jingle bells ready for a festive ride on the NSBTA Trails! Join us and other members for a holiday themed ride and caroling procession for the local community to come see horses and riders parade by. Immerse yourself in cheer and nature's true beauty on horses that are conditioned for the environment! Enjoy this ride with a group of riders on historic riding trails in one of New York's most coveted equestrian communities! SCHEDULE 10:15AM Arrival and meet the group 10:30AM Getting horses off the trailer and mounting 11:00AM The group sets off on the trails with other riders INCLUDED A groomed and tacked horse Access to the members-only BRLA trail system Experienced trainer and owner of the horses to lead Holiday cheer! HORSES The horses are trailered from our training facility in Pawling. There are a variety of breeds with different personalities, trained for open space riding, foxhunting, hunter paces and used in our lessons. Mixed breeds from spirited thoroughbreds to quieter draft breeds. SETTING The North Salem Bridle Trails Association maintains and develops the historic system of trails which extends and connects more than one hundred miles of trails in the towns of North Salem, NY and Ridgefield, CT. The NSBTA works to stimulate the interest of the community in the preservation of “horse country” and of their unique rural character. If taking the train please inquire ahead of time if there is a driver in the group who can offer a pick up. Otherwise please schedule a taxi in advance as Uber and other car service apps do not have good coverage in this area. Driving: 45 miles from Midtown Carpool: Riders have access to MRC's private carpooling group on Facebook.
