Glenallachie 2015 Mongolian Cask

Glenallachie 2015 Mongolian Cask is the fourth edition in the Sinteis Series differs from its predecessors’ dual-cask approach. The whisky was matured separately in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks, before being combined and transferred to Mongolian virgin oak. The result is a beautifully layered whisky with dark chocolate, orchard fruits and warm pastries. Glenallachie proudly present this Sinteis Series bottling at a cask strength of 58.5% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, showcasing the whisky in its purest form Nose: Baked pastries and butterscotch, followed by brandied orchard fruits, cocoa and treacle tart, with cinnamon and crystallised ginger. Palate: Candied hazelnuts, baking spices and plum syrup, followed by spiced baked orange, vanilla ice cream and mocha, with mānuka honey and fig jam.
