As a first-generation Pakistani American chef and founder of Chocolat Uzma, having our chocolates featured at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile is an honor. In 2019, our chocolates were selected from a dozen submissions, recognizing a vision rooted in South Asian flavors, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a deep connection to Chicago and our philosophy around ingredients. For an independent, woman-owned business, this partnership has created an opportunity to share our work with visitors from around the world in one of the city’s most celebrated destinations. Since then, we’ve proudly developed a collection inspired by the neighborhoods, flavors, and spirit of Chicago. The Chicago Collection — 12-Piece Box Twelve handcrafted chocolates inspired by four distinct Chicago stories: Pilsen, our home, with mango and chili; the colorful streets of Devon Avenue; the golden spices of Streeterville, home to the Roastery, paired with its Reserve coffee blend; and a tribute to Chicago itself, expressed through a salty peanut butter bonbon. The 6-Piece Collection A curated selection featuring two distinctive Chocolat Uzma flavors: Kala Namak and Marrakech. Chocolate Bars Two bars complete the collection: dark chocolate with rose, and milk chocolate with the Starbucks Reserve coffee blend and a hint of cardamom. Each offering reflects our approach to chocolate: bringing together our South Asian heritage, unexpected flavor combinations, and the character of the city we call home.
