Red Dot Instructor
The Red Dot Instructor Course is an intensive two-day (16-hour) instructor level program designed to integrate proven marksmanship fundamentals with modern pistol mounted optics and practical weapons employment for today’s law enforcement environment. The course develops instructor knowledge in open and closed emitter optics, proper mounting and maintenance, system setup, zeroing, efficient sight acquisition, and reliable red dot employment under increasingly demanding conditions. Training progresses from drawing and presenting the pistol to rapid dot acquisition, firing on the move, getting off the line of attack, and employing the pistol from varied positions and around cover. Throughout the course, students are challenged to diagnose performance issues, communicate effective teaching points, and safely develop officers using red dot-equipped pistols. Critical Task Shooting Evaluations reinforce proficiency, accountability, and sound instructor methodology. Select the scheduled date and location.
