Connection to Country Aboriginal Art Comforter Set

Connection to Country This artwork represents a special place where identity and belonging are found through connection to Country. It honours cultural knowledge of the land, water, animals and bush medicines, and the art and stories that keep that connection alive through generations. Kelly says: “For me, connection to Country is knowing where I belong. It lives in the land we walk on, the water, the animals and the knowledge our families share with us. Growing up out bush with my nana, Millie, I learnt through watching, listening and spending time on Country. Those teachings stay with me and continue through my art. Connection to Country celebrates that sense of belonging and the stories, knowledge and traditions we carry with us and pass on to our children.”
