Waterworks Education Hour: Pinot Noir Deep Dive
Sunday, November 29th, 3-4:30 PM Why are we all so obsessed with pinot noir? This grape is notoriously thin skinned, temperamental, and difficult to grow, yet we continue to spend irresponsible amounts of money to fuel our thirst for pinot. What inspires this maniacal devotion? And do I have to max out my credit card to enjoy this freaking grape? In this brand new Education Hour, we will endeavour to find out! We’ll explore the many facets of pinot noir through 5 wines, moving from the tiny plots of Burgundy where pinot is an iconic star to up & coming and far-flung regions where deliciousness and value shine. We’ll talk terroir, producers, price tags, and the magic that happens when one special, complicated grape is nurtured in just the right way. Come curious, thirsty & ready to sip one of the most special grapes we know. This session will be led by GW co-founder and one of Toronto's most in demand sommeliers, Krysta Oben, and Waterworks GM Alexia David, who comes to us from some of Vancouver's very best restaurants including Michelin-star winning Burdock & Co. All event tickets are non-refundable. Four free community tickets for BIPOC folks available for every Education Hour. This is at our Waterworks location.
