Hebe Trish

Hebe ‘Trish’ is one of those reliable evergreen hebes that just gets on with the job — neat, compact, and a steady performer for pots and borders. It’s particularly good if you want year-round greenery, with summer interest on top, but without anything that needs constant attention. Because it keeps a naturally rounded habit, it’s great near the front of beds and borders, where it won’t swamp neighbouring plants, and it looks spot-on in containers where shape matters. Used in small groups, it can also create a simple rhythm through planting — the sort of thing that makes a garden feel more designed, even if it’s quite informal. Plant it in sun or semi shade, ideally somewhere sheltered, and it’ll cope with most soil types from chalk to clay. It prefers neutral to alkaline conditions. Very hardy and very compact, it’s an easy “trim-and-forget” shrub — just clip lightly after flowering if you want to keep it extra tight.
