Shadows - Acryl auf Leinwand

Auf der Suche nach dem schönsten Schwarz. Ich hatte das Bedürfnis, viel Schwarz zu malen. Ich wollte das schönste Schwarz erschaffen, ein Schwarz, das nicht schwer wirkt, sondern tief, schön und fast magnetisch. Während ich mit der Farbe gearbeitet habe, wurde mir bewusst, dass das tiefste Schwarz eigentlich aus vielen verschiedenen Farben besteht. Es ist nicht einfach nur Schwarz. Es entsteht aus einer Vielzahl von Tönen, die zusammen etwas Tieferes ergeben. Das hat mich an unsere Schatten erinnert. Wir alle tragen Anteile in uns, die wir nicht ganz leben, die wir ablehnen, verstecken oder noch nicht integriert haben. Oft sehen wir nur die Dunkelheit darin. Aber hinter jedem Schatten liegt auch etwas anderes: Potenzial, Lebendigkeit, Kraft und Wahrheit. Dieses Bild ist eine Auseinandersetzung mit genau dieser Idee. Mit der Schönheit des Schwarz und mit der Schönheit dessen, was hinter unseren Schatten liegt. Hinter jedem schwarzen Kreis liegen viele Farben. Man sieht sie nicht sofort, aber sie sind da. Genau wie in unseren Schatten oft mehr verborgen liegt, als wir zuerst erkennen können. I felt the need to paint a lot of black. I wanted to create the most beautiful black, a black that does not feel heavy, but deep, beautiful, and almost magnetic. While working with the color, I realized that the deepest black is actually made up of many different colors. It is not simply black. It emerges from a multitude of tones coming together to create something deeper. It reminded me of our shadows. We all carry parts of ourselves that we do not fully live, that we reject, hide, or have not yet integrated. Often, we only see the darkness in them. But behind every shadow, there is also something else: potential, aliveness, strength, and truth. This painting is an exploration of that idea, the beauty of black, and the beauty of what can be found within our shadows. Behind every black circle lies a multitude of colors. You may not see them at first, but they are there. Just like there is often more hidden within our shadows than we initially realize.
