About the Hoya Wayetii Hoya Wayetii (Hoya wayetii), commonly known as a Wax Plant, is a tropical climbing Hoya native to northern Luzon in the Philippines. In its natural habitat, it grows as an epiphyte or lithophyte, attaching itself to trees or rocky surfaces rather than growing directly in the ground. It is known for its long, narrow leaves, pointed tips, dark edging, and naturally dense trailing growth. With sufficient light and maturity, Hoya Wayetii may also produce rounded clusters of small, waxy flowers in rich burgundy tones.
