AquaDepot Tissue Culture-Cryptocoryne lucens
Cryptocoryne lucens is a compact, slow-growing aquarium plant with long, narrow, pointed green leaves and an elegant natural appearance. Supplied as a tissue culture specimen, it is grown under sterile laboratory conditions and arrives free from algae, pesticides, snails, and unwanted pests — making it a clean and reliable choice for planted aquariums, shrimp tanks, and aquascapes. Once established, it forms attractive groups and works particularly well in the foreground to midground. Portion Size: 1 tissue culture cup. Key Features Tissue culture grown — free from algae, pesticides, snails, and unwanted pests Long, narrow, pointed green leaves Compact and elegant growth habit Slow-growing and easy to maintain Ideal for foreground to midground planting Looks best when planted in groups Suitable for freshwater aquariums and aquascapes Care Requirements Light: Low to Moderate CO₂: Optional Temperature: 20–28°C pH: 6.0–7.5 Growth Rate: Slow Difficulty: Easy Aquascaping Applications Cryptocoryne lucens is an excellent choice for foreground and midground areas where a softer, natural-looking plant is desired. Its narrow leaves create gentle movement and texture within the aquascape without becoming too dominant. It works especially well around rocks, driftwood, and transition areas between carpeting plants and taller background species. Plant individual portions slightly apart and allow them to establish into natural-looking groups over time. Pro Tip: Before planting, remove the plant from the tissue culture cup and gently rinse away all of the agar gel. Divide the plant into smaller portions and plant them separately for better coverage and more even establishment. Note: As a living plant, Cryptocoryne lucens requires separate handling and shipping considerations. Please review our shipping policy for plant-specific delivery information.
