Aeonium aureum (also known as Greenovia aurea and Green Rose Buds) forms a rosette of bright green leaves. During the growing period in the cooler months, the rosette is open, and offsets form around its base. During Summer, the plant is dormant, and the rosettes close up tight and appear like rosebuds.
