'Doyenné du Comice Improved' Patio Pear Tree

This fabulous heritage variety has now been grown as a Wonder tree! What's a Wonder tree, we hear you say? It's an innovative method of growing patio trees by our friends over in the Netherlands, wherein the grafting takes place higher on the tree, giving a compact, clear stem and bushy head of foliage. This helps them retain their shape and small size, while minimal pruning requirements, high disease resistance and cold hardiness all combine to give you an absolute gem of a tree. Award-winning and beloved by pollinators, 'Doyenné du Comice' boasts large fruits with superb flavour and a rich, buttery texture that'll leave you wanting more and more.
