M36 Gold Desert Edition, an exceptionally limited interpretation of our M36, is inspired by the harsh beauty and operational challenges of Britain’s WWII Desert Campaign. Its 18ct gold 16mu (Micron) electroplated case is paired with the distinctive sand-coloured dial, designed to evoke the shifting tones of the desert landscape. The model features filled metal indices, offering enhanced depth, clarity, and durability while maintaining the legibility that defines Vertex military timepieces. The caseback features an engraving of the Bagnold Sun Compass, famously used by the Long Range Desert Group to navigate the vast expanses of the North African desert during WWII. Limited to just 10 numbered pieces. Manufactured by our atelier in Switzerland, the MG36 DE comes with a custom automatic SW260-1 Swiss movement, Super-LumiNova® dial.
