10x detail. A steadier handheld view. The Canon 10x30 IS II image stabilised binoculars bring distant birds, scenery and sporting action closer in a portable format. 10xmagnification Bring distant subjects closer. A useful magnification for birdwatching, travel and spectator sport, paired with optical image stabilisation to help steady the view. 30 mmobjective lenses Keep the binoculars portable. The 30 mm front lenses keep this 10x design compact enough to take along when travelling or watching an event. 600 gwithout batteries Know what you will carry. The binoculars weigh approximately 600 g before adding the two AA batteries. 105 mfield at 1000 m See the width of the scene. At a distance of one kilometre, the field spans 105 metres from side to side. Hold the button to steady the view. Canon's optical Image Stabilizer uses vari-angle prisms to counteract hand shake, helping you look at distant detail with less image movement. Focus firstTurn the central focusing knob. StabilisePress and hold the IS button. Release it to stop. Severe shaking may exceed the stabiliser's correction. Rapid panning can briefly make the image move irregularly. Coated optics. A flatter field. Super Spectra coating Canon's optical coating reduces internal reflections that cause flare and ghosting, helping preserve contrast. Doublet field flattener Field-flattener lenses reduce field curvature to improve sharpness towards the edge of the view. Porro II prisms The Porro II optical layout works with the coated lenses and field-flattener design. Image stabilisation is provided separately by the vari-angle prism system. Two AA batteries power the stabiliser. 2 × AAUse alkaline batteries or compatible AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. Approx. 9 hoursContinuous stabiliser use at 25°C with alkaline batteries. Approx. 1 hourContinuous stabiliser use at −10°C with alkaline batteries. Runtime is based on Canon testing and varies with battery brand and conditions. Ordinary viewing still works without batteries, with image stabilisation unavailable. Replace both cells together with the same brand. Canon advises against AA lithium batteries. Remove the batteries before extended storage. Good to know. 01 Keep them out of rain and spray. The 10x30 IS II is not waterproof. Its outdoor uses do not make it an all-weather binocular. 02 Focus starts at approximately 4.2 m. The focusing range extends from about 4.2 metres to infinity. Subjects closer than that fall outside the focusing range. 03 Fold back the eyecups for glasses. Eye relief is 14.5 mm. If you wear glasses, fold back the rubber eyecups as directed in the instructions. 04 Never look at the Sun. Looking at the Sun through binoculars can cause loss of vision. Read the Canon 10x30 IS II instructions before use. In the box. Canon 10x30 IS II binoculars1 Case1 Strap1 Eyepiece lens caps2 Canon's Australian warranty.
