Vintage Bvlgari Tronchetto Two-Tone 18K Gold Ring
This is an 18k gold vintage Bvlgari two-tone tronchetto ring. Meaning “little log” in Italian, “tronchetto” is a reference to the bullet-shaped ring face of this sculptural design, which rises above the finger for a bold, geometric look. We love that the band’s white gold has oxidized, while the yellow gold in the center of the ring has picked up a rosy hue, making the variation of the two tones very subtle. The yellow gold portion of the ring presents as a cabochon inlaid in the ring, almost as though it were a gemstone; many of Bvlgari’s tronchetto designs featured gemstones in this placement, and we love this all gold variation of the design. A great example of the iconic architectural style that Bvlgari is known for, with a clean, sleek, modernist design. The tronchetto ring was first introduced in the 1980’s and was a popular design throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s. The face of the ring measures 5/8” x 3/8” and rises 1/4” above the finger. It weighs 9.3 grams. The band is 3/16” at its narrowest point. Marked on the interior as 750 for 18k and Bvlgari. In excellent condition. Ring size 5.5
