Medieval Nålbinding Cap
This Medieval cap is worked in the ancient way, nålbound stitch by stitch, each loop knotted through the last so it will hold through wind and winter both and probably an argument or two besides. Merino wool, soft as a good thing ought to be, in the colors of the wood's edge at dusk... charcoal and deep plum and the bright particular green of moss after rain. The brim is finished with a twisted braid edge, resembling a simple Celtic knot, in that same bright green and plum... a small flourish, the kind a careful maker leaves so you know the work was done with intention. The crown rounds to a gentle peak and stands up from the head with the quiet dignity of a cap that knows its history... shaped in the manner of caps worn across medieval Scandinavia and Europe by those who had work to do and weather to contend with. Fits up to a 24" head circumference For Custom Orders: Contact
