Use this driveshaft to upgrade and convert your factory 2 piece driveshaft into a heavy duty 1 piece. The OEM 2 pc driveshafts are notorious for driveshaft vibrations and component failures. We use the Spicer cold forged sealed u-joint - the best and strongest 1480 U-joint available. The Aluminum tubing is 4.6" OD Arconic premium aluminum seamless material that is 1/8" thick -- rated for over 7,000 ft/lbs of torque! It will handle even the heaviest towing loads. We offer a lifetime warranty on our welds and a 1 year unlimited mile warranty on all parts. The driveshaft comes fully assembled with the transfer case slip yoke, balanced and ready to bolt in. Installation is as simple as sliding in the transfer case yoke and bolting up the straps. If you need new straps for the rear end yoke, select that option below. It is not common but it is always a good idea to check for clearance issues with the carrier bearing cross member to ensure that the cross member does not need to be removed. When you see other aluminum driveshafts with tubing that is bigger in the middle and smaller at the ends, that is a thin wall 0.075 inch aluminum which is light duty OEM material. Our 1/8 inch thick heavy duty Arconic brand tube is made with an even wall thickness and extra straight from end to end to run vibration free and for incredible torque performance. Some driveshafts with cheaper prices have conversion u-joints that step from one u-joint size to another or greaseable u-joints. Conversion and greaseable u-joints are not as strong as the cold forged solid cross u-joints that we use and have more play. Many of the cheaper shafts have cast weld yokes at each end while ours are USA made forged weld yokes.
