Induction Hardening Coil for Steel Surface Hardening

An induction hardening coil (also called an inductor or induction inductor) is a custom-fabricated copper conductor that serves as the primary winding of the induction heating circuit. When connected to an AC power supply, it generates an alternating electromagnetic field that induces eddy currents in the surface of the steel workpiece, heating it to the austenitizing temperature (typically 820°C–980°C) in seconds — without any physical contact between the coil and the workpiece.
