The name Foula comes from the Old Norse for ‘bird island’ This beautiful shawl has amazing details and textures. SIZE - approx. 166cm/65” on the top edge, approx. 130cm/51” on the bottom edge and approx. 108cm/42” wide at the bind off edge. GAUGE approx. 18sts & 22 rows = 10cm/4” in lace pattern gauge is not crucial since this is a shawl, but different gauge will affect the size of the shawl and the amount of yarn needed. Needles: 4mm US6 circular needles (100cm/40” or longer), or size needed to get gauge (not included but can be purchased here).
