Seiryu Base Stone

Seiryu Base Stone is a specialized selection of long, slab-like Seiryu Stones. These flatter, pointed pieces are best for building structure, elevation, and foundation within an aquascape. While traditional Seiryu Stone comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, these elongated pieces are especially useful for creating retaining walls, supporting larger stones, and forming detailed lines in an Iwagumi or Nature Style layout. Like traditional Seiryu Stone, each piece features the classic grey coloration, natural textures, and weathered appearance that have made Seiryu one of the most popular hardscape stones in aquascaping. We often use these pieces as supporting stones when creating sloped layouts, layered aquascapes, and transitions between substrates in a planted aquarium. Seiryu Base Stone Highlights Ideal Foundation Stone: The longer shapes make these pieces ideal as supporting pieces beneath main stones and driftwood structures. Classic Seiryu: Features the same grey color, texture, and character that have made Seiryu Stone a staple in planted aquariums. Each piece is unique in shape, texture, and coloration. Seiryu Base Stone pieces are selected for their elongated, flatter form, but natural variation should be expected. Some pieces may feature sharper edges, pointed formations, or more pronounced ridges. Not intended to be used as a main stone for Iwagumi aquascapes.
