Lussac Saint-Emilion, Chateau Petit Bois
Lussac Saint-Emilion AOP, Château Petit Bois About the Wine This elegant Right Bank Bordeaux is dominated by Merlot, supported by a smaller proportion of Cabernet Franc, creating a wine that is generous, smooth and beautifully balanced. Deep ruby in colour, it opens with expressive aromas of black fruits, ripe cherries and delicate violet notes. The palate is velvety and fleshy, with supple tannins, subtle earthy undertones and a long, polished finish. Approachable yet refined, it is a wonderful partner for roast meats, hearty dishes and fine cheeses. About the Producer Château Petit Bois was founded in 1947 by Robert Vergniol, who gradually transformed a handful of vineyards into a thriving estate in the heart of the Lussac Saint-Émilion appellation. Today, the domaine is run by his son Bernard Vergniol, continuing the family’s commitment to producing classic Right Bank Bordeaux wines with character and approachability. Planted on the clay-limestone soils typical of the region, the estate’s mature vines produce wines that combine richness, freshness and elegance. Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks helps preserve the purity and vibrancy of the fruit, resulting in expressive wines that offer excellent value and a true sense of place.
