USGI Surplus Tritium Lensatic Compass, Model 3H

Cammenga has been the leading contractor for Lensatic compasses with the US Government. The model 3H features tritium vials for easy identification in low light conditions. Features: Ultra high strength powder coated aluminum housing Accuracy +/- 40 mils NSN: 6605-01-196-6971 Tritium has a half life of 12.5 years and would need to be replaced when the light emitted is dull. Please Read Before Buying: All compasses in this batch have been tested by us. Most are dated in the mid to late 2010s. The tritium is still pretty bright but they are on the tail end of the half life. We will NOT accept any returns on these because you failed to read our definitions below. Condition: "Like New": means the compass is practically new and unused with all parts working with minimal signs of use. Tritium is bright. "Used": means the compass is cosmetically new* but there are some issues with the viewing magnifier or there may be a little "moon dust" in the mechanisms. Tritium might be dull. *These compasses are all in excellent condition cosmetically but some in this batch have minor wear on the magnifying glass portion of the compass. These that are scratched and marked will be listed as used but these look great overall. We recommend polishing these up and they should be good to go. We tried it with tooth paste and that worked pretty well for us. Due to the nature of this product there may be minor dings or scratches and the color may show some minor variation.
