Bolivia Varieties: Red Catuai Processing: Washed Altitude : 1600 - 1900 masl Owner: Various Smallholder produces Tasting notes : pineapple, stonefruits, slight florals This coffee lot comes from small producers in San José, Cochabamba (Bolivia), many of whom are Quechua families who migrated from Potosí after the decline of mining in the 1960s. They traditionally farmed vegetables but began growing coffee around 2018 through a national initiative. Since 2022, their partner Atoq has supported them with technical training, equipment, and access to markets to improve quality and income. Atoq is also expanding its own coffee production using sustainable agroforestry methods, with plans to grow from 3 hectares to up to 20 hectares by 2030 and further improve processing with a reopened wet mill by 2026.
