TaylorMade Qi4D Fairway Wood
The TaylorMade Qi4D Fairway Wood extends the Qi4D family from the driver into the long-game. Three heads make up the focus of our Qi4D Fairway range — the Qi4D Max Fairway (the forgiveness-biased workhorse), the Qi4D Tour Fairway (tour-compact, lower-spin), and the Qi4D Max Lite Fairway (ultralight) — so there is a configuration for most swing types and set compositions. Three Heads, One Build Standard Qi4D Max Fairway — Forgiveness Standard The Qi4D Max is the workhorse of the line and the head most players end up in. It runs a 200cc head with a shallow face profile, an 8g TAS (Trajectory Adjustment System) weight positioned rearward for high MOI, stability, and a forgiveness bias. Both 3- and 5-woods use the 4° loft sleeve giving full adjustability of loft, lie angle, and face angle. For mid-handicap players and up, this is the default configuration we recommend. Qi4D Tour Fairway — Tour-Compact The Qi4D Tour is the more compact, lower-spinning head in the line. A 175cc head with titanium face and body, a carbon fibre crown, and a 65g tungsten mass pad positioned low and directly behind the face produce high launch combined with low spin. Three TAS weights let you optimize ball flight in detail, and the 4° loft sleeve adjusts loft/lie/face angle. This is the head for stronger players who want to shape shots both ways and flight the ball down. Qi4D Max Lite Fairway — Ultralight Qi4D Max Lite shares the Max footprint but is built ultralight — up to 21g lighter total than the Max — with the line’s lightest head, shaft and grip spec. A 4g TAS weight sits rearward for higher MOI. For players with moderate or slower swing speeds who need extra clubhead speed to recover distance without changing head shape. Key Technologies Twist Face — corrective face curvature that reduces dispersion on off-centre strikes. Speed Pocket (cut-through) — preserves ball speed on strikes low on the face, the most common miss off the deck. TAS (Trajectory Adjustment System) weights — movable weights that let us dial launch, spin, and swing-weight toward a player’s spec. 4° loft sleeve — full adjustability of loft, lie, and face angle at fitting. ExactGolf: Expert Consultation and Custom Building A fairway wood bought off the shelf is almost never the fairway wood you should actually play. Between the three Qi4D Fairway heads, the adjustable sleeve, loft choice, and — most importantly — the shaft, there are hundreds of configurations. Our fitters help you identify the combination that launches high enough to hold greens but low-spinning enough to roll out off the tee. We build every Qi4D Fairway Wood to your exact specification with premium aftermarket shafts. Length, swing weight, and grip are all calibrated individually. Our fairway-wood shaft portfolio includes: Fujikura: Ventus Blue, Black, Red, and the new Axiom. Graphite Design: Tour AD DI, IZ, and VR. Mitsubishi: Diamana and Tensei series. Oban: Devotion, Kiyoshi, Isawa, and Revenge. When you buy the TaylorMade Qi4D Fairway — Max, Tour, or Max Lite — through ExactGolf, you leave with a fairway that is matched head-to-grip, not a head assembled onto the closest shaft in stock.
