Vintage glazed ceramic mortar

A decorative vintage ceramic mortar with a flower motif. Hand-painted in a folk-art style with green and yellow tones, it adds a lovely, vibrant character to a kitchen. We would use it for storing smaller fruit or herbs. Found in Roma. Condition: Good. This piece is in good vintage condition with some patina, marks and crackling that only add to its charm. The glazing has some chips around the edges. The maker's mark 'VM' is impressed underneath. Dimensions: H 10.3cm x W 23.8cm x D 23.8cm.
