Southend-on-Sea Saturday 6th June 2026 After nearly getting lynched last year for not including Southend in the 2025 programme, Dan thought it best not to chance his luck again — so here it is! We return to this classic seaside town for a full day visit. For anyone new to Southend, we highly recommend a walk (or train trip) along the famous pier, or perhaps a visit to the slot machines. If you’re planning to eat, do pop into Tomassi Restaurant, run by one of Grandad’s old friends, for either a savoury bite or a sweet treat.
