NOTE: All attendees must be an active Pottery Studio Member (3, 6 or 12 month) at time of booking, and date of workshop. This offering is NOT for general public. Our members-only masterclasses are designed for makers who want to go deeper. Small groups, focused skills, and dedicated teaching time - each session is built around a single form or technique so you can give it your full attention. COMING UP: Lidded Vessels July 12th | 9am–1pm This session is dedicated to learning the art of lidded forms, where you'll learn to throw bodies and lids in proportion, using calipers to nail the fit, and trimming to a finish. Small forms, precise work. Teapot Making: Part 1 - Planning & Throwing September 20th | 9am–1pm The teapot is the most technically demanding form in wheel throwing. Part 1 covers the full throwing sequence (body, lid, spout, and handle preparation) with attention to proportion and planning for assembly. Completing Part 1 is a prerequisite for Teapot Making: Part 2. This session explores handbuilding techniques - coiling, pinching, slab construction - in the context of sculptural work. Bring an idea or let one emerge in the making. This session is dedicated to building height and volume on the wheel, with focus on control and consistency across larger forms.
