Sacred Waterhole

This is a very old story about a sacred waterhole. It was a magical place and very important to my people. There was a young platypus in this waterhole who had not yet learnt the valuable lessons of being a man. He was determined and had a strong spirit, but he needed to humble himself to his Elders. To be able to learn and realise that being too proud, and thinking that he knew it all, had cost him a lot of hard times and almost his life. But through all this, he awoke his spirit and became in touch with his Creator. After a while, he started to get lonely. He wanted a partner. But it wasn’t until he became a wise and true man that the Creator caused a huge flood which connected the waterholes and he was blessed with his wife. Hard times are the most Important lessons in life, and when you stand strong and work hard, the reward at the end is love. Love conquers all and always wins. Love never loses hope and never quits.
