Vintage door knob / pulls by Antoni Gaudí circa 1980/90s. A collection of brass hardware by the late Modernist Spanish architect Antoni GaudíI they was originally designed between 1902 and 1910 for his celebrated constructions in Barcelona: Casa Calvet, Casa Batló, and Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera. Gaudí squeezed or pierced clay with his hands and fingers to create an impression of his hand which was then cast in brass with a polished finish. The handles conform to the grip of a human hand, forming a unique and ergonomic shape that appears to breathe in its brass body. In 1978, the Spanish furniture company BD Barcelona began faithfully reproducing the series in solid polished brass. Available here is the Mila No. 1, Mila No. 3 and Batlló No. 2 knobs. Static in form (they don't turn) with original screws and backing hardware, they're pretty solid with nice weight. Shows some age appropriate wear, patina and scuffs. Sold as a set of three. Considerably expensive elsewhere ($300+ per). 2"-2.5" diameter. 2"-2.5" deep. Shipping quoted @ checkout / Greenpoint pick up
