SALAD/STEW STONEWARE BOWL FLO

Handmade stoneware bowl, made from an iron rich, flecked clay. Glazed in an Ash wood glaze with black oxide abstract marks. This bowl can take you from summer salads to winter stews and is also perfect for serving side dishes. My family and I use these almost everyday for casual meals. All my work is made in my garden studio in Brighton. Each piece is made using a mix of clays that give me the warmth and homeliness I’m seeking in my work. I mix my own glaze using ash that has been collected from our wood burning stove over the winter. The ash comes from the wood of Ash trees that are sourced locally in East Sussex. Marks are made using a mix of oxides, mainly consisting of iron oxides with a small percentage of other oxides added (all of which are ethically sourced). Handwashing is recommended, to avoid chipping. However, all my products are dishwasher and microwave safe. The bowl may also be heated and cooled gently in an oven. Avoiding thermal shock. Stoneware. Due to the handmade nature, there are variations and irregularities in colour, size and shape and the bowl shown may not necessarily be the bowl you receive although all bowls are similar. 20.5cm ⌀ x 5cm H (approx).
