Like the northern form of Dzamal, this variety shows two main phenotypes, one lime green (maintsoa), the other dark purple (sakai or parasy). The lime-green type has a strong mango-carrot aroma. Its effect is electric, inspiring, and energizing. The dark-purple type shows aromas of pepper, pine, and spices. Its effect begins with a good rush then evens out into a calm and trippy high. The southern form of Dzamal stands out by being more resinous and showing a stronger pepper-spice aroma profile, with occasional citrus-pine scents. Plus its effect is slightly more powerful.
