Colombia Pickers Project
Pickers Project is brought to you from the town of Yacuanquer in Nariño by way of Azahar Coffee's Pickers Project. Azahar's goal with this program is to provide migrant workers with the proper training necessary to hone their craft of picking high-quality coffee, enabling them to fetch higher prices for coffee picked at the ideal ripeness. In doing so, they are not only harvesting a delicious coffee - they're also ensuring that these migrant workers can be paid legally, receive benefits, and continue their training and work within the industry in Colombia in a sustainable manner. As for the coffee itself, we're getting tropical hints of mango and pineapple as well as brown sugar while enjoying this as both a filter coffee or an espresso. Produced by: Yacuanquer Pickers Project Origin: Nariño, Colombia Process: Washed Varietals: Castillo, Colombia, & Caturra Elevation: 1900-2000 masl Coffees are roasted weekly on Friday mornings. Any orders received will be automatically added to the queue for the upcoming Friday roast. Feel free to reach out if you're in need of anything sooner!
