Solton M 12 CX

Solton M 12 CX is a self-powered bi-amped stage monitor and multipurpose fullrange loudspeaker built around a 12"/1" coaxial transducer and a dual-channel Class D amplifier with two-channel DSP. The coaxial driver arrangement produces 90° x 90° radially symmetric coverage — identical horizontal and vertical dispersion without rotating the enclosure for different angles, which matters in practice when using the cabinet as a wedge monitor, frontfill or delay speaker. At 14.5 kg and 440 x 360 x 460 mm it is a one-person cabinet in any configuration. 12"/1" coaxial driver and DSP with four presets — monitor and FOH without changing cables The coaxial arrangement places the 1" HF compression driver on the acoustic axis of the 12" woofer — the HF radiates from the geometric centre of the LF cone, which produces a more coherent point source image in near-field positions and reverberant spaces compared to conventional two-way designs with spatially separated drivers. The two-channel DSP provides four presets: Monitor 1, Monitor 2, Basic and w.Sub (with subwoofer) — each tuned for a different acoustic scenario without cable changes. Dual-band limiters protect both drivers independently. Mic/Line input with level switch, Chinch (RCA) input, Mix OUT and PowerCon Link (daisy-chain mains) allow cascading multiple M 12 CX units in an installation or on stage with a single power cable feed. Three handles, a pole-mount socket and M8 rigging points cover all standard deployment configurations. Stage monitor, frontfill, delay and standalone PA — four roles, one enclosure The multi-angle 15 mm birch plywood enclosure with polyurea coating positions the M 12 CX flat on stage as a wedge, upright on a pole as a lightweight PA top or on its side as a front-of-stage frontfill for the first rows. The w.Sub preset adjusts the crossover and response curve for operation with the aart SUB 15 A or aart SUB 18 A subwoofers, both officially recommended by Solton. A transport bag is available as an accessory (art. 12516).
