This "torrefaction" process significantly reduces the oils and resins that normally take years to diminish, resulting in a lighter, more resonant instrument with a warmly sweet, richly woody tone.The torrefied Swiss Moon Spruce top takes on a slightly darker hue - a sense of well-worn elegance - while remaining stable across fluctuating climates. Paired with solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, the tone is rounded and full through the mids with superb projection and balance.
