Little Steven conceived, organized, and produced the Sun City project, bringing together more than 50 artists to protest apartheid in South Africa and encourage a cultural boycott of the Sun City resort. Steven Van Zandt is also widely recognized as Bruce Springsteen's longtime guitarist and founding member of the E Street Band, as well as for his iconic portrayal of Silvio Dante on HBO's The Sopranos. The album features an extraordinary lineup including Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Bono, Run-D.M.C., Lou Reed, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Pat Benatar, Joey Ramone, Keith Richards, Peter Gabriel, and many more.
