BIOCIDE STERILISER
Biocide Steriliser: a fungal, algae and micro-spore treatment for roofs and cement tilesRhinoluxe Biocide Steriliser is a biocide treatment for asbestos roofs and cement tile surfaces. It controls fungal growth, moss and algae, and targets the micro-spores that let them regrow, sterilising the surface before a new coating goes on. Made for South African roofs where damp and shade let moss and algae take hold, it gives a clean, stabilised base for coating.Key Benefits Controls fungal growth. Treats fungus on roof and cement tile surfaces. Controls moss and algae. Kills back the green and black growth on roofs. Targets micro-spores. Attacks the spores that drive regrowth. Surface preparation. Sterilises the surface before a roof coating. For roofs and cement tiles. Suited to asbestos roofs and cement tile surfaces. Technical OverviewBiocide Steriliser is a biocidal wash that penetrates the growth on a roof surface and kills fungus, moss, algae and their micro-spores. By destroying the spores as well as the visible growth, it slows the return of moss and algae compared with cleaning alone, and leaves a sterilised, stable surface. It is used as a preparation step so that primers and roof coatings bond to a clean substrate rather than living growth.Specifications Type Biocide steriliser (fungal, algae & micro-spore) Surfaces Asbestos roofs and cement tile surfaces Targets Fungus, moss, algae, micro-spores Exposure Exterior Pack sizes 5L, 20L Technical GuidanceApply Biocide Steriliser to the affected surface and allow it to work on the growth, then remove the dead moss and algae and let the surface dry. Treat heavy growth again if needed. Sterilise and clean the roof fully before priming or coating so the new system bonds to a clean, stable surface. Wear appropriate protective equipment when handling.
