Bone 4 Prong Heru; TRIPLE TWIST

Heru (hair comb) carved from real beef bone. Large (18cm long) 4 prong comb. Pikorua twist symbolises the eternal bond between people. It's intertwined lines represent how life paths may seperate over time but will always come back together - representing everlasting friendship, loyalty and love. Also available in Single twist, Tiki, Koru, Whale Tail and Manaia. Heru are used to hold and decorate hair in a bun (top knot). Traditionally the head was considered the most sacred part of the body. Because hair was believed to retain a person's spiritual essence the Heru served as a way to honour and protect that spiritual connection. Available with or without woven kete (bag).
