Domaine Bories Jefferies, Where Black Is The Color 2022

A brilliant new wine from Joe Jefferies, originally from Warwickshire, but now residing in Caux, in the Languedoc and producing some of the most exciting wines in the region from basalt soils. Carignan & Cinsault, given 6 days maceration, this was given a year ageing in tank before two further years in 5-year-old barrels. Brimming with wild black fruit, this is already in a beautiful place and as with the other two wines it opens up beautifully over a few hours and into the next day.
